Trophy Cats Deep on the Drift
Anglers who seek big catfish welcome the colder water temperatures, and a slow drift for the blue catfish has been paying off.
On Lake Conroe, guide Collin Edwards usually fishes for Hybrid Striped Bass, but is focusing on big catfish for the time being.

Edwards prefers to drift between 0.6 - 1 knots, and has been fishing the fish at depths of more than 20 feet.
"I am using cut shad 99 percent of the time," he said. "The bigger the piece, the better."
